Couple of years ago Timo came up with an idea of us putting up a band together. His former band Day One had been layed to rest resently and he was eager to put up a new band. I thought it was a great idea but felt at the moment a little insecure about my capability to work as a singer. And we weren´t also sure who else could we ask to join us to do this. So this great idea kind of a just stayed in our minds for a while to wait for the right time. Timo also found himself playing drums in 7th Legion…

Then came the fall of 2003 and Timo told me that the idea was not just an idea anymore - he and Heikki from Morning After had been playing some songs together for a few times and Turo from Pitfiend was also interested in trying out something different. I was enthusiastic. I had never had any experience of singing before but I felt ready and decided to try. So one day I received a cd that contained a great song with an request to write some lyrics into this song. I did and found myself a week later screaming my lungs out in rehearsal room with Timo, Heikki and Turo…

It was the birth of something now known as St.hood. But we felt that we needed a second guitar player, so Heikki played few songs to his friend Panu from Before The Dawn and asked him if he could come and help us play these songs live. Well, Panu promised to do that but also became a fulltime member…

It has been five months now and we have created (and also buried) a load of great songs and I can truly say that we stand very proud behind all the songs. As a five-piece we are ready and waiting to play live and to create new songs and to evolve this band better and better and beyond…

And what our influences are? What are we standing for? What do we like to say?

So many bands, so many things and so many people in this world to mention but to make it simple; St.hood stands on the hardcore ground with a heavy and metallic but groovy outfit.
